If you’ve been around Dallas long enough, you’ve probably heard someone rave about Big Al’s. This is Texas BBQ done right - no frills, just fire and flavor. We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Big Al’s Smokehouse BBQ into the Cohost restaurant family - a family-owned Dallas institution, a place that’s been smoking meat, stirring sides, and feeding Texas for 50 years.

Since 1974, Big Al’s has grown up in Dallas - evolving, adapting, but never losing its soul. Big Al’s is Woman-owned now (run by Al Plaskoff’s daughter, Lauran Weiner), and their team carries forward the same hands-on spirit that made the place.
At Cohost, we’re all about partnering with local legends - the spots that know their people, take pride in their plates, and show up with heart. Big Al’s fits right in. Together, we’re making it easier than ever to bring bold Texas flavor to your next event, big or small.

So go ahead - plan that BBQ spread, brisket-stacked build your own baked potato bar, or backyard-style bash. We’ve got Big Al’s on the line, and the pit’s already hot.
Welcome to the team, Big Al’s. Let’s get cookin’.
