Hey y’all, we still grin from ear to ear when we think of catering this epic event at Tailwaters Fly Fishing Co! This wasn’t just any gathering, it was a full-on Southern food fest that had everyone buzzing, from fly-fishing fanatics to food lovers. Cohost was thrilled to team up with Brandon’s Boil House, The Slow Bone, and Uncle Willie’s Pies to serve up a spread that was as memorable as the venue itself. Let’s dive into the delicious details!
Tailwaters Fly Fishing Co. set the stage with its rustic charm. We kicked things off with passed appetizers from The Slow Bone. Picture this: Beef Rib Tostadas with tender, smoky meat, crispy Fried Okra with Smoked Paprika Aioli, and Texas Caprese Skewers that gave a Lone Star twist to a classic. These bites were the ultimate icebreaker, getting everyone mingling and munching.
Then came the main event: Brandon’s Boil House rolled out a crawfish boil that was a total showstopper. We’re talking heaps of crawfish, corn, sausage, broccoli, potatoes & their signature ravioli, all simmered in their perfect Cajun spice blend that makes your taste buds sing. Guests were elbow-deep in the good stuff, laughing and sharing tips on the best way to crack open those crawfish. To wash it all down, the bar was slinging refreshing tequila cocktails with our new cold pressed lime juice from MEP.
And let’s not forget dessert, because Uncle Willie’s Pies brought their A-game with assorted pie jars that were almost too cute to eat. From creamy pecan to tangy key lime, these little jars of joy were the perfect sweet ending. These are such a great option for dessert because guests can either eat them at the event or take one home (or both)!
Behind the scenes, the Cohost Catering crew was hustling to keep everything running smoothly. From setting up the buffet to making sure the appetizers kept circulating. Cohost Rentals also provided those cute checkered linens, tables, chairs, and cocktail glassware. There’s something special about watching a room full of people connect over great food, whether they were swapping fishing stories or just bonding over their love for a good pie jar.

Huge shoutout to Tailwaters Fly Fishing Co. for the awesome venue, and to Brandon’s Boil House, The Slow Bone, and Uncle Willie’s Pies for bringing their culinary magic. Cheers,
